Off-Line Slitter

Free-standing and portable. Takes large panel and slits into multiple pieces. Will allow stack of multiple panels to feed through at the same time. Cookie Cuts (Cuts pieces partially through to allow folding.) Pull Rollers to control the speed of the panel.

Two Bar Configuration: Upper and Lower Shafts are adjustable up and down for a 6” cut from either the bottom or top. Adjustments are by Joyce Jack type mechanism which is cross-connected and adjustable from operator’s side. Shafts are ground and polished and are 2-15/16” in diameter with ¾” Keyway.

Graduated scales reading in sixteenths of an inch is provided on the outfeed side for positioning of blades across the machine during setup.

A Pointer and Scale adjustable to compensate for Blade diameter change is mounted on the Slitter Bar Shaft Assembly to indicate depth of cut of both the top and lower Slitter Blades. A re-settable counter, similar to those used on Black Bros. Glue Stations could be used instead for this purpose.

The Slitter Blade Shafts will be driven by two (7 1/2) H.P. Variable Speed (7 1/2 H.P. on top and 7 1/2 H.P. on bottom Shaft), 480 Volt, 3-Phase, 60 Cycle AC Inverter Drive.

Infeed and Outfeed Nip Rolls, adjustable for 6” thick material. Both Infeed and Outfeed Bottom Nip Rolls are driven by a single two (2) H.P. Variable Speed Drive. Top Nip Rolls are free-wheeling. Nip adjustment are by Joyce Jack type mechanism which is cross-connected and adjustable from the operator’s side. Pointer is mounted on the Nip Roll Lifting System and a Scale on the Frame to indicate Nip opening or re-settable Counter could be utilized for this purpose.

System to be designed for use of 18” diameter Blades.

Hold-Down/Support System is mounted on the Nip Roll Raise and Lower Mechanism so that it is adjustable for thickness of material without separate adjustment being required. The Hold-Downs/Supports will be constructed so that they can be inserted and removed without the use of tools or wingnut fastened clamps. They will lock into position in the through machine direction, but be free to slide easily back and forth with the blade engaged in the slot. A Hold-Down/Support should be provided for each blade position.

Machine to be mounted on Lockable Casters. Pass line height of 37-1/2”.

Infeed Table is 34” long in the feed direction and permanently affixed to the machine. Outfeed side to have a 43” long detachable table on casters to facilitate setup.

Two (2) full length Adjustable Material Guides will be provided. Measuring Tapes with sixteenths of an inch division will be mounted on Infeed and Outfeed Tables for setting side of guide.

Removable End Plates to facilitate installation and removal of Slitter Blades will be provided. Chain Slings, or some other suitable system, will be provided to hold shafts during installation and removal of Blades.

Infeed Side Guards to prevent access to “Parked” Blades when running narrow product will be provided. Nip Roller Guard affixed to Infeed Nip Roll Station to adjust up and down with the Nip Rolls will be provided.

Safety Guards are interlocked with Drive of Machine.

Access Slot will be provided in the Guards to sharpen and clean blades while the blades are turning. A long handled Hone and Scraper will be provided with the machine for this purpose.

Blade Oilers and 1.00 KVA Transformer.
