The CHS Core Machine
The CHS Core Machine cuts liners into strands and with the help of the packing section the strands of paper liners are produced into a continuous honeycomb paper core.
CHS Core Machine Sections:
Includes Pull Expansion Table and Core Ramp for core expansion and placing into core cart. The Pull Expansion Table Section is 10′ long by 74″ wide at the pull rollers. Pull Rollers are top and bottom driven by a 2 HP Gear Box with A.C inverter controller. Drive rollers are rubber coated. Top roller is hand adjusted. Swing down platform is air operated by Air Cylinder and hand Control Valve. The core ramp feeds core up into Core rack from Core expansion section. The core ramp is driven by a 1 HP 20:1 Right Angle Gear Box with A.C. Inverter Speed Control. The Glue Section is double filtered at in-coming line at each Glue Manifold. Each Manifold is controlled with Air Solenoid for off/on supply of glue to Manifold. Glue Meter, Glue Regulator, Glue Pump and Slab Interrupter supplied. Manifolds extrude glue to liners. Includes standard copper manifolds for seven cell sizes, platforms and Manifold Clean Up Sink. Roll Stands to accommodate 2 rolls, 4 rolls or 6 rolls. Roll Stand is adjustable with Horton 8″ Drum Brake Assemblies for Roll Brakes with Roll Brake Air Controls and Tidland Roll Shafts.
Cutting Head Assembly and Drives
73″ Flying Shear Blade with Auto-Lube System. 30 HP AC Vector Drive. 10 HP Motor to Paper Pull Rolls. Touch Screen with Allen Bradley PLC Processor. Paper Trimmer to trim core width for two 24″-36″ strands. Crankshaft Assembly, Top Pull Roll Assembly, and Complete Cutting Head. Three (3) sets of blades. Packing Section consists of the following: Two Duff-Norton Actuators, A.C. Inverter. Inverters will be push button on each side of Packing Section for fine adjustments, as well as, up and down. Aluminum Push Plate mounted on Flying Blade Holder to push core out of the packing Section.
